The Problem
I built Finlytics to solve my own personal financing — a single place to track income and expenses, manage clients and invoices, and get informed guidance on money decisions instead of piecing it together across spreadsheets and gut feel.
My Role
I was the sole developer, building the whole thing frontend to backend: the income/expense tracking, client and invoice management, and the Gemini AI advisory layer that turns the underlying financial data into informed suggestions.
Key Technical Decision
For advice to be useful it had to be grounded in the user's real numbers rather than generic tips, so I fed Gemini the actual income, expense, and invoice context so its guidance reflects the state of that person's finances.
Outcome
Finlytics is live at finlyticsapp.com, letting someone track their money, manage clients and invoices, and get AI-assisted guidance on their finances from one app.
